HOW GANG
MEMBERS AFFECT OUR EDUCATION.
Thinking about
education, i want to share some comments about how bullying affects this
important process. As we know, nowadays, gang members are increasing in our society.
Some days ago I talked to a friend of mine about this situation; she is a
teacher and works in a public school, I asked her if there was not any problem
with gang members that could be intimidating students in that school, the
teacher told me that she is worried because there are many problems and not
only for students but also for the teachers that work over there. Many students
do not attempt to classes because they are threatened outside the school so
that is why they prefer being at home and not attempt to classes. Another case
is that some of them are getting bad grades and they do not feel motivating,
etc.
I also asked
her if they, as teachers, have not talked about this situation. She said that they
have tried to talk about it with the parents of the students but the problem is
that some parents are gang members and have their children studying over there;
in that case they cannot do anything since they also feel afraid of this kind
of people, so they prefer to be friendly with them. The problem is where the school is located, it
is in the suburbs, there is not enough security neither education, some students
have their parents in jail so, that affects their development as students. Weird
stuffs are happening inside the school she said; some teachers also have been threatened
if they assign bad grades to the students, a student has a relationship with a
gang member, etc.
It is difficult
to talk about this topic we cannot stop this situation and look for solutions
to solve this problem, students and parents are involved with gang members, the
education cannot improve in that school. This is becoming very popular in our
society, it also happens in other public schools. The last year many students
suffered many problems like murders, kidnapping, abuse, etc. Authority is not able to protect some areas of
our country.
The number of
homicide are increasing everyday, the government should do something and pay
attention to this problem, because education is very important to have better
society.
Hello Maggie!! Yes, that is a serious problem here in our country. I know a lot of teachers who have to approve that kind of students because they want to protect their lives and also their family, and it is really sad when someone dies because of this situation. I hope someday the security change to avoid many problems that affect the educational process in our country. Good topic.
ResponderEliminarAs you go girls this is a very serious problem, and unfortunately, teachers have to accept the conditions of these people, and if they do not do what gang members ask them many bad things can happen. So our education is going through different situations that hinder the right development of the learning process. This topic is very complicated and to look for solutions is a hard job that only can be done by working since the family, I mean teaching good values to our kids. I think that is one way that can help to decrease this problem. But of course there are many more things to be done……..
ResponderEliminarWhat you say it is really sad and complicated, because with these kind of people is difficult to deal. Therefore, it is not easy for teachers to try to find a solution. This problem is really hard because we, as teachers, would like to do something in order that our students can have a good education, but what I can say it is that the government should pay attention to this issue and try to find a solution because it is not in our hands.
